What head bolts are you super/turbo boys using. I know low boost's are happy with o/e items but my turbo will be running approx 1 bar boost. I'm assuming i will be ok with genuine Peugeot bolts?? |

cheers stan. have you ever had issues with the head lifting? couple chaps up here with big power turbos eventually went for stud and nut conversion to hold the head down |

If you do that I think you have to slightly reduce the torque settings from standard ones as the stud kits just don't stretch at all and can pull the threads out of the block. PM Rich_W he's had some experience in this area.________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. I sell new and used welding equipment in the Hampshire area. I've never had any issues with that at all. I'm also using the bespoke HG which Rich supplies on my engine. As for studs and nuts, yes you can go this way, Rich did on one of his engines, the only disadvantage to that is you can no longer remove the head with the engine in the car, unless you're lucky enough to get the studs undone with the head in situ. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

The ARP studs that Rich used & supplied had a hex socket in the upper end for easy removal.________________________________________ Rich |

I can confirm my superhighboost engine has been built with these. just for a little extra price of mind although Rich did say there was no need. ________________________________________ Super high boost Completed, destroyer of gearboxes and 160mph club |

I know what you mean Ross, Rich also said to me that there wasn't an actual need, so I decided to stay with the genuine bolts.I guess it would have given slightly more piece of mind at the time, but the engine was built 4 years ago now and is still as strong as the day it was built. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

Don't think you drive you'res like ill drive mine though Stan. Though to be fair Rich's current engine still seems solid as a rock and that has covered a fair old few miles without them. just didn't think it was worth skimping as I bought them for a bargain price.________________________________________ Super high boost Completed, destroyer of gearboxes and 160mph club |

Are Rich's gaskets made my Cometic? and do you know if they are readily available? |
