I think this relates to this thread the best... correct me if I'm wrong LOL


I am getting my Rallye ready for painting gradually

I took the wing mirrors off thus evening and behind them on the inside is a 2 wired electrical block.. it's white,

Is this for electric mirrors or?

Nope brown 5 pin plugs for the mirrors. Could be for tweeters

Oh right, that's good.. I wouldn't mind putting tweeters in, can you do that with manual mirrors? As electric ones have them built in the interior cover

nope as you have said, they go where the manual adjusters sit so unless you want to chop the adjusters off and just push the glass to adjust in future...

Picture would help. As said not electric connector for mirrors not sure what use tweeters would be if you've still got the manual adjusters.

Iirc it's the power socket for heated mirrors. Pop a multi meter on it and switch on the heated rear window and it should power up.

On and the leccy mirror plugs are 7 pin niall, all used on the n/s due to the temp and only 5 on the o/s.
