Good evening just wondering what sort of miles I should get out of a tank on my highboost been wondering if my lambda may be on the way out as I've been driving this as an everyday for a while generally getting about 180-230 miles out of a full tank with regular driving not much above 2-4 k revs does this sound about right? ________________________________________ Super high boost Completed, destroyer of gearboxes and 160mph club |

The last time I drove mine in September this year I managed:224 miles to 1/2 a tank driving at a constant 70mph across Italy. I also managed 28 miles to 1/3 of a tank when driving hard through the French Alps. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

My low boost generally gives around 400 miles to a tank but I do a lot of motorway miles. |

It's not so much that, it's more the fact that this conversion gives you the flexibility of having excellent MPG when you want distance and superb power available for when you need it. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

think yourself lucky! I have no mods and I struggle to get over 230 a tank! But then just about all my driving is short 8mile drives to work and back in Sheffield(so hilly) during the mains hours or people getting to and from work so mainly stuck in traffic. So I suppose thats one of the main reasons for my poor MPG. |

doof wrote: Calculate hours per gallon to make yourself feel better? 1.01 hours per gallon! haha id still rather have the better MPG the good news is - I drove to Manchester and back at the weekend which also included a little bit of traffic (drove there via M1 and M62, Drove back via trafford centre then the woodhead) - also included a drive back from work in traffic and a drive to work as well as a couple of 3 mile round trips to asda and got me 150miles to half a tank (25.6litres) so works out around just shy of 27mpg. So I have a bit of faith in the old car in that if it wasnt for my current driving circumstances my MPG would be better haha. But if im getting 19/22 mpg on a typical tank for me i'd hate to see that if it was charged |

Doesn't seem worth it for High boost? If ragging it a whole tank in 80 miles seems worthless for 400 odd BHP?________________________________________ cress87 wrote: I'm stopped for speeding on a daily basis but now the police are aware that I live for the 306 they dare not interfere, just sit in their cars quaking as I drive past. |

Webster have you ever owned a high-performance car? 80 odd miles but that means high revs ie7.5-8k and trust me with a highboost that means fast! my impreza wasn't as quick and I used to destroy fuel far quicker my PB in that was half a tank in 13.5 miles. ________________________________________ Super high boost Completed, destroyer of gearboxes and 160mph club |

Jeez, sounds insane, I guess as a weekend car it doesnt matter but sadly I don't have that luxury. Just wouldn't fancy filling up then being back at the petrol station within the next few hours because I'd used the go pedal. Haven't owned anything that quick no, I had a 740i for a spell but that wasn't fast just juicy. Ideally want a 335i / 135i but doing too many miles at the moment. ________________________________________ cress87 wrote: I'm stopped for speeding on a daily basis but now the police are aware that I live for the 306 they dare not interfere, just sit in their cars quaking as I drive past. |

I remember when I first got my scooby I once went to the same garage 3 times in a day to fill up looking back was fairly ridiculous. as Stan says that is the best thing about the conversion you have reasonable mpg whilst driving sensibly then when you want it you have balls out power!________________________________________ Super high boost Completed, destroyer of gearboxes and 160mph club |
