My clutch is beginning to slip, so needs replacing. However, the pedal felt horrible before this. Very stiff, especially on the way up.

What else should I look at to improve the pedal feel? Clutch cable? I also seem to remember something about some bushes on the clutch linkage? Is there anything else I should look at?

Cheers

Sweet. Looks like thats where my remaining car fund is going then!

When fitting the bushes, should they be packed with grease or left dry do people know?

Thanks

No need to 'pack' them as such but smearing some on them is a very good idea. Yes

left dry. your clutch arm might be pitted from corrosion, which will need replacing.

I should add that the grease will attract and absorb dirt, making the bush wear a lot faster than standard and creating a poor clutch feel.

I still say a small smear of grease, it's always worked for me. Smile
