Thought I'd start a thread on my gti 6

It started as a bargin to do me till my xr2 was ready but now I've had 8 months out of it it will be having more work done to it when the other cars on the road Big grin
So far I've changed the wishbones, ball joints, bushes, bearings, struts, springs, strut tops and drop links, I've done one engine mount and the power flex bush for the lower one arrived today.Whistle

Just as we'll the wife likes it as well Smile

Hear is her when I collected her

I've since added cyclone alloys, ill get a pic up soon

Cheers for looking

Ah I fitted a xr3i with a 5 speed to my old xr2 that made it quite rapid back in the day.

Looking goodCool

I had a Caspian Blue XR2,converted that to 5 speed. Was not a very good kit IMO though, think it was from the Fiesta CentreDunno
Had to cut a big chunk out of the chassis leg, then it had a bar to add strength which ran under the gearbox with a plate to move front tie rod mount over.Front wheel alignment was never correct after the conversion, something felt slightly oddRoll eyes
