Hello guys, when I was putting my engine in, I broke the speedo connector, well pulled the wires out of the connector , so I made do with taping them together it worked fine till today when the wires came lose, that will be sorted but the other issue that has occurred is when braking at junction the car switches off and all the light on the dash appear, but if u quickly put ur foot on the accelerator it starts again, would this be the cause of the speedo wire reason, if anyone could help will be appriciated

I had the problem of my speedo stop working every now and again and then it started to get worse. when the speedo was reading 0mph whilst i was driving, as i started to slow down when i dipped the clutch and the engine would stop. i replaced to speedo sender thingy, little white plastic thing? i think and speedo works fine now and no stalling

I can't see that the speedo wiring would affect the stopping and starting of the engine, sounds like a completely separate issue to me.
I did read right in you saying it would start back up itself?

Or are you manually turning the ignition over again...

It sounds more like your ICV is dirty and the engine wants to stall when off the gas.

Look in the FAQ for a guide to clean the ICV, it's a very simple 10 minute job. Yes

I can't find the link for the FAQ.

However, you simply unplug the connector from the ICV, detach the breather pipe leadng to it, and undo the screws holding it on. Then remove the o-rings and give it a clean through with something, being very gentle with the piston. I used brake cleaner, and gave the o-rings a wipe with WD40.

Then simply put it all back together.

This shows you where the ICV is:
