I am constantly filling my water up in my radiator but there are no leaks or anything that I can see, so I was wondering if it had something to do with my water pump being knackered, the engine runs fine not loosing power or any un-normal behaviour can someone please help im very confused Dunno

only 3 things can happen

1 - it's leaking somewhere - tried leaving cardboard sheet under the car after a run or overnight?
2 - it's being burnt - got any white smoke?
3 - both of the above

if it's being burnt it's your head gasket

you say it runs fine -

any misfires from stone cold that clear after a minute?

no the heaters are red hot all the time, i've never really had misty windows and no coolant smell either, it is really confusing me unless there's a small leak in the water pipe at the back of the engine near the manifold but I haven't seen any water dripping. Dunno

I didn't think about the rad cap tbh, could it be a air block in the system and its pushing water out of the waste pipe near the rad cap?

Top up the cooling system and then bleed it fully. After this, monitor what happens.

Putting cardboard under the car is a good idea to see if you are suffering a leak overnight.

How much are you having to keep topping up with?

there are 3 main bleeding points isn't there. one on right hand side of rad (top), one on the heater matrix and one on the thermostat housing? and I top it up bout once a day but it all depends on when I drive it, if I drive it all day could be up to twice a day I top it up but most I drive it is going to home and back to work on a weekends, few times during week that's it so just depends on when I drive it if that makes sense

You're correct about the bleed points. Yes

If you are topping it up that often then you definitely have a leak. Wink

I have just had a look now and I think its coming from the water pipe that leads into thermostat housing, you know where there is that metal clip holding it in, from that bit, I can see loads of orange coolant on the things below and looks pretty new from yesterday so I am guessing its from there looks like its a new one of them lol :/

Seems like you found it, let's hope you don't need a new hose though and it's just the seal.

The reason for this is because new top hoses for these cars are no longer available from Pug...
