isn't that oil pressure? What does the gauge show at start up?Might be wise to connect in a mechanical gauge to be sure you're getting good pressure. |

Calum I have a similar issue. Ive noticed it seems to happen either after I have just washed the car or when we have pretty heavy rain.A work mate had a similar issue on a newish civic. Took it to halfords who advised him that they been having a few similar issues and it was just water getting to one of the sensors when people use pressure washers to clean their cars. Not saying this definitely is the issue but just one to consider. Like yours mine drives fine, sometimes the light flashes on and straight off a couple of times, sometimes it can stay on for several minutes. |

Try and ECU reset and see what happens? If nothing, try testing/cleaning some sensors? My old one had this problem briefly and an ECU reset got rid. ________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |

Just googled and found this:How to reset Peugeot 306 ECU Resetting the ECU is a good place to start if you are experiencing strange idle, running or stalling problems. Over time the 306 ECU picks up data from the sensors and 'learns' or adapts to the conditions. By resetting the ECU you will return it to the default settings and remove any 'incorrect adaptations' the ECU has made. The most common use for this is to reset the Idle Control Valve (ICV) to its default position. How to reset Peugeot 306 ECU: 1. If you have a standard radio make sure you have the code. 2. Open bonnet and disconnect negative (black) battery terminal. 3. Wait for 10 minutes (maybe time for a really swift cup of tea?) 4. Reconnect battery. 5. Insert keys and turn ignition to second click (all the lights in the dash will light up). 6. Wait 15 seconds or until fuel pump stops priming. 7. Start car 8. Take for a drive covering as many engine loads / rev ranges as possible. |

This may sound silly but check there isn't any water in your back lights and that the connections are good. I put phase 2 lights on a phase 1 before and the loom adapters I used were not of the best quality which caused my stop light to come on, I put them back to normal and never had a problem again so these connections can definitely bring it on. If you have a water or oil issue the 'stop' light should also coincide with either the water or oil light coming on too. ________________________________________ Ryan |

Ive had this before, comepne had cable ties the induction kit to the engine loom that runds down the bottom of the radiator, which cause the wiring loom to rub throughon the induction kit, had to repair about 10 wires ! Im getting this too. I feel its a dodgy conection on a sensor. When I get time I'll whip it up to Armz's garage and get him to look at it. Its the same though, all fluids are good, car runs spot on. It just flashes on for a couple of seconds and goes again. Peculiar. ________________________________________ See the sheer power and might of the lesser known burrowing owl. |

Temporarily unplug the Bitron unit and run the car...If the STOP light doesn't flash then you know that's the issue. However, don't leave it like this apart from when testing it as it will mean your cooling fans won't work. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

Aaron - It's in the inner wing passenger side, just above the horns. It's a longish multiplug. The unit itself is held on with one 8mm nut. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |
