Hi new to this so if im asking a question that already been asked I apologise now, are there any advantages or disadvantages to removing the Air box underneath the inlet manifold on a Xu10j4rs?

That's a resonator box, it is said to give the engine slightly more torque.

I would leave it in place personally and welcome to the club...Wave

Mine has been removed and blanked. Is it worth me putting the resonator back on?

It depends on personal choice really Danny. Yes

Some say that they notice a better difference from removal, some say it's worse and some say they can't tell the difference. It's up to how you feel with it removed. Smile

It's main job is too quieten the induction noise, deffo get more induction sound with it removedYes

No difference in torque I could feel, and no loss of overall torque on a rolling road power runSmile

Mines removed. Makes no noticeable difference in any shape or form. Ah, my bad, I was on about the resonator on the airbox.
