I got a set of 13mm lift full on race cams and a set of btcc cams, not much more lift than standard but loooong duration, good for about 240bhp but it'll need revs to get that. Likely to be more modified than you're after but let me know if you're interested...________________________________________ Oulton Park in a BTCC 306 vid 1Oulton Park in a BTCC 306 vid 2 Lap of the 'ring |

those will need rods, pistons, solid lifters, different springs, and to make it reliable at the revs it needs to make power on them single piece stainless valves. that lot = ££££ great cams if you have a 306 BTCC car and are running to specific regs, but otherwise, not really... ________________________________________ 205 GTIXsara HDI |

no, they need 12-1 compression, and significantly deeper cutouts than there is material to remove from a std piston.________________________________________ 205 GTIXsara HDI |

Yawn, I see Welshpug is back in not very good disguise? Why not just pay the fiver and be done with it? This place is like high school all over again. Yeah, they need pocketed pistons but by how much I couldn't tell you. I did try to build them into a standard engine once but they wouldn't fit. You'll need 8k rpm as a minimum to see anything useful out of them. Standard valves and rods are fine at that, will want springs too to be safe but I have those also. Plenty of people run standard engines to 8k rpm on hydraulic lifters, again its up to you if you want if you want to risk it. ________________________________________ Oulton Park in a BTCC 306 vid 1Oulton Park in a BTCC 306 vid 2 Lap of the 'ring |
