droplink tab is in the wrong place, though otherwise will fit just fine.however damping will not be great as the car is 300 kilos heavier. ________________________________________ 205 GTIXsara HDI |

Whilst on the subject, do the ph1 vts struts use the same drop links as the 205, is the drop link point the same?As said the 205 gti struts are softer which is why some fit uprated bilstein 306 shocks to their 205 for example, they are firmer than the same uprated 205 shocks. ________________________________________ Pug fee`ver,Pick a Bogey, buy a Pug. Is it ok to weld on a shock after its been filled up with fluid or air etc ?My vts shocks have a flat connection bit not L shape like above. ________________________________________ Pug fee`ver,Pick a Bogey, buy a Pug. It's not ideal but it worked out ok, we wrapped the dampers with soaking wet rags to stop heat soak.As for the brackets, we looked at different ways of doing it and this was what we came up with, the drop link nuts were awkward to tighten at first but a 16mm ratchet spanner made it easy |

You can remove the insert on alot of dampers making welding to them safer________________________________________ www.bridgecraftmotorsport.co.uk |
