I've just come to return my car to a standard induction system, as when I bought the car it just had a cone attached to the TB, and I prefer the original setup.

However, I am struggling to see where the airbox attaches in the engine bay. Can anyone point me in the right direction please? The airbox has two studs coming from it on welded brackets, but I can't really see an obvious mounting point - poor from me I know.

Thanks

If you follow the engine loom to where it joins the car loom, two big round electrical plugs,it bolts on just behind these on a triangle shaped piece of metal welded to chassis rail Thumbs up

You do need to remove the plastic liner thing from the underside of bumper, and the nuts are quite fiddly to get on the airbox bracket studs due to the hornsSmile

Cheers for that, I'll have a look. I think a certain amount of bodging has taken place previously to confuse matters...!

I bought a whole system from a breaker, and everything appears to be there.

I put the infeed ducting and TB ducting on to give me an idea of where the airbox should sit, and there were no holes that I could see anywhere near the studs.

Just as I was packing up and hiding from the rain though, I noticed that there was a bracket that didn't seem to be doing anything right where the holes shoudl be. Removed that (attached with aftermarket nuts and bolts and packed with washers), and it looks as if this random bit of metal was covering the holes.

No idea what it was there for...!
