*2004 '53 Clio 172**Iceberg Silver*
~102.5k Miles, may increase, as still in use.
It has been a great car- one of few with all of the big jobs accounted for.
Being one of the final 172s it benefits from all of the desirable extras:
~ Cruise Control, Speed Limiter, Half Leather, Xenons, Climate, Traction Control, E/W, E/M.
All important cambelt, dephaser and aux belt were last done at 90k with receipt to prove.
I also have receipts for the previous belt-changes, done @JMS along with stamp for the initial Aux Belt change at Renault.
The engine runs beautifully, and it really does fly when you need it to! I have driven it a lot on the motorway where it comfortably
averages 40 - 45mpg. This one has a strong engine and the clutch is in good condition.
Performance is great - 0-60 in around 7 seconds and very good brakes. Fantastic handling, too.
It doesn't use oil, and it is always warmed up properly.
Servicing and Maintenance:
~ Full service history with all Renault booklets and a folder of receipts. Last serviced at 98k which included:
~Fuchs SuperSyn Oil
~Renault Oil Filter
~Cabin Filter
~New sump plug and washer
~Mahle Air Filter
~Bonnet Catch recall done @ Platinum Renault Trowbridge.
~Recent 25 Point Safety check at Renault Trowbridge with printout.
~All belts and dephaser done only 10k miles ago.
~Xenons and Washers in full working order, vital for MOT.
~Recent rear discs and pads, with receipt, which is an expensive job due to the disc/abs ring/ bearing coming as one unit.
~New Lemforder track rod ends on both sides, with receipts for parts and labour.
~New Exhaust-Cat seal and spring bolts.
~Battery in good condition.
~Full Renault tool kit with original wrench and jack.
~Spare 172 alloy wheel with good Dunlop tyre - good tread.
~Original Renault Radio/CD player.
HPI Clear with check from my purchase.

Modifications:
~Recessed Longlife Cat-Back Stainless exhaust. Complete with receipt and lifetime guarantee from LongLife.
This provides a great sporty exhaust note and looks great on the car.
~Eibach Sportline Springs, a subtle drop with a ride quality that is very close to standard and great improvements with the handling.
The springs are in good condition.
~Speedline Turinis in great condition, with 38.5 offset (from 172 Cup) recently refurbished in silver metallic flake wrapped in UniRoyal Rainsport 2 tyres, with around 5-6mm of tread.
~ClioSport.net Mats.
~Clifford Concept G5 Alarm with 2 fobs, proximity sensor, owners manual and receipts for installation.
~Skoda Fabia front splitter.
~Boot Net.
Negative Points:
Usual slight melting on the steering wheel with deteriorating right hand thumb grip. Very common on ALL Clios this shape.
Air Con needs re-gassing.
To summarise: A well documented, well cared for example in a brilliant colour with all of the extras, a lot of the more desirable modifications and all of the expensive work done. Viewing is recommended and those who have insurance cover are more than welcome to test drive the car.
