I'm off to collect my V6 engine conversion this weekend and a raft of bits to enable me to fit in into my Phase 1 '6 without a large dollop of drama. Roll eyes

Question is; Will the 406 V6 (D8) Engine and 406 ECU work with my existing Keypad immo. or do I need the key, ignition barrel and transponder from the 406? Or do I need to bypass it somehow? Dunno

Whilst I am getting the complete engine loom, I am not planning to take the car loom as well.

Any help will be appreciated (+1). Thumbs up

Thanks,

Paul

Yeah best way to go tbh. Mine worked with the rallye loom fine, but then it idn't have a key pad.

Engine loom will splice into the 306 loom at the main plugs in the side of the engine bay. All wires are numbered so sorting it out with autodata is p**s easy. They are very similar looms.

Main problems you will have are the clutch, driveshafts and getting the thing to fit in nicely. Just ask if you have any questions - a few of us have done it / had one now. Well worth it Smile

Love my pocket rocket V6 never a dull moment!

Saying that had my first whoop assing the other day in a cosworth engined fiesta mk2.

Kept up with it good though with it spitting flames out of its exhaust but man it couldnt go for long, guy slowed down and the thing was proper smoking!
