Hi guys, this is a bit of a long shot but I'm looking to sell my commuter car and get another 6 as I am moving much closer to work.So if anyone is looking for a super reliable, comfy and economical car for covering mileage then this could be of interest particularly if you're looking to sell your 6 or rallye
Its an Audi A3 1.9 TDI - 2000 (W reg) finished in black with neutral grey interior, it’s in very good condition inside and out and is fitted with the following options:
- Air conditioning (that works very well!)
- Power steering
- Electric windows
- Remote central locking
The car has had 3 owners and the mileage is 192k but please don’t be put off by this, it has a very comprehensive Full Service History with many receipts for work done over the years. It has 11 months MOT and 6 month tax.
The cam belt has been replaced twice in the vehicle’s life (at the correct intervals) and it’s not due another until 210k miles.
I have owned this car for 8 months and it has been 100% reliable, and the following work has been carried out within the last 4,000 miles:
- Major Service
- New clutch hydraulic slave cylinder (seal was leaking)
- New front suspension dampers (ride was a little bouncy)
- 4x new tyres (less than 3000 miles wear)
The car drives faultlessly – no knocks or rattles, the engine is smooth and economical. This is a very solid, straight and honest car that returns a great MPG!
As with all cars if this age there are a few bad points:
- Radio volume control can be a little temperamental
- Small patch on rust on the bottom of driver's door
- tiny amount of paint bubbling above rear window
(both areas where like it when I bought the car and haven't got any worse)
