scrap it, it'll be very rusty elsewhere if it needs the boot floor welding.

burn it.....

only joking Smile thatd be mean

lot of effort to replace the whole boot floor. depending on the extent the rust and it postion.
as you said its a tiny patch near the sill, as long as you car isnt structurally compromised, itd be easiest just to clean it up and patch it.

for a bit that people rarely ever see its up to wether you think you want it to be looking perfect for all the extar effort.

Cut out the section, fabricate a new infill peice and weld in and grind the weld level. Once sprayed youll never know it was done. Wink

The steel is a little too thin for grinding the welds down, can so easily go through. If welds are good enough you won't need to grind it down. Its an art in getting a panel original looking, so much easier on thicker grade of steel than French type.

Fair point. Looks a bit worse in the flesh but you can see what i'm on about. I reckon if i was to push my fingers hard enough then it would push through. What i might do is cut a section of floor from my other car and patch it in

That looks just like surface rust tbh, give it a poke and see how it gets.
