Hi Guys,

I have noticed that half the time I start the car now, it decides to idle at 2k, and just hunt up and down. Doesnt seem to settle itself, but I generally turn it off fairly quickly. If I then start the car again, it will be fine (sometimes takes a few attempts).

I have a theory on this, just want to check if its plausible..

I have recently fitted a lightweight battery and killswitch, and killswitch is disconnected when car not in use (good for battery), but I thought, as I am killing power totally. is this upsetting the ECU? Meaning each time I turn the key and give it power, is the ECU having to learn things that got lost when power is killed?

Like I say, just a theory as it never used to happen on standard battery setup.

Any advice/comments welcome.

Cheers
