Just a feeler really before I sort mine out does anyone have a engine for sale basically its going to have bodies on it so if it had cams etc that would be a bonus or even better still a high comp or with pocketed pistons but I know that's just pushing my luck lol

I'm in Peterborough and have an engine with manifolds etc removed. The head was a tapper so you'd need to swap the valves etc over from your healthy engine but i'm not after much for it. Make me an offer. Smile

Thanks for the offer but No good to me I'm afraid would only be interested in a a1 engine as have one here already that needs work. If nothing's around ill repair mine but if there is ill put in another engine then build mine back up as something bit more special over time

it has a leaky rear cam cover which we were going to wait and do it properly when the engine got removed. it pulls as it should, doesnt use oil or water.
Unsure on actual mileage (could do what everyone says and say its been removed from a 50K 306, there must be a pile of 50K 306's with no engines somewhere.... haha)

I can happily put a cambelt and waterpump kit on it if you wish. It currently has a PTS baffled sump which we will be removing and adding to the new engine. Got a standard sump to re fit.

you can see it running currently or i can send you a video. Ccan run a compression test over all 4 if you wish and let you know the results

Sounds interesting, yeah nice to see a honest mileage as like you say every engine for sale is always low mileage good condition etc, lol I've had 2 good engines so far first engine was described as non tapper and tapped and knocked, now this ones done the gasket in 500miles.

Any idea on price and timescale for when it possibly available as like I say I'm kinda weighing up my options on what to do as wanna get it back out on track now I've had a taste

300 as it is, we will sort the cam cover leak. You can hear it running, check everything over, go out for a spin, compression test, whatever you wana do.
The new high powered engine is being collected tomorrow and needs a strip and assemble so I'd say you could have this engine In a couple of weeks. Quicker if you really want.

Cool well if you could find out the mileage and can belt history etc that would be great as definitely interested.. What actually comes with the engine is it bare or manifolds etc

I've got the possibility of a reconditioned head as well so just working it which is cheapest/best option which at the min is prob still a engine lol

Think it was under 100k, we bought it as a replacement lump when my mates Gti6 205 spun the bottom end.
It's done 4 track days with it in and pulls as it should.

Will be fairly bare tbh.
I'd chuck a belt on it to be sure, or I can do this pre sale.

Just hav a price back from pug. Genuine stuff is going to cost me £70 for a 136 belt kit and £52 for a waterpump kit.

Fitted, including a compression test say £450?

Maybe able to get cheaper stuff from a motor factors but that's your call.

Give me a ring might be easier 07881 027599
