Hi there in the middle of fitting my compbrake quick shifter only thing im unsure of is how to get the reverse cable holder off im thinking i will just have to get the grinder out and cut down one side then resecure back on with cable ties or hose clips but thought i would check first Thanks |

Job done. Never moved! |

I completely removed hacked to bits and re-fitted mine today at work. Basically I wanted the lever 2" shorter so cut 2" off the top of the lever with an angle grinder. Then you have the problem of the lift up reverse. I then cut off the inner part of the lift up mechanism in exactly te way you were thinking cut a line straight down it, as its stupidly tightly fitted to the lever, cut the the bottom half of it off which holds the outer part of the cable and re fitted it lower down with a jubilee clip round it. Sprayed the lot black (as mine is fully stripped) and refitted the gear nob.Job done ![]() ________________________________________ Black power baby! Taken loads of pics of what I've done so I'll upload them to photo bucket an start a new thread for an FAQ if others find it useful.Had to take it all to bits again to get pics so there won't be pics of everything as several parts are cut off or in half now. ________________________________________ Black power baby!
