By the time I noticed I had the manifold off, all sensors unplugged from engine, it was just as I was routing the loom out I noticed. What I didn't want to do was connect that and it still have issues, so I played it safe (for once ) Only thing with my lo0om is the yellow sensor connector which is on the inlet manifold has one of the wires snapped. That will be a 2 minute job tomorrow with a soldering iron, some heat shrink and the old connector on the other loom and a set of wire cutters I just wanted to get it back together and on the road, it was like it when it came off the old engine and doesn't seem to be affecting much (that I can notice anyway). The main thing is I can rely on it starting and running, so I am happy. Now it's time to have a few smokes, beers and see if I can improve my time on GT Academy. ________________________________________ '00 Astor Grey GTi-6Team: 'EVO Triangle' This is a quantum car. The other bonus is I now feel confident round the engine, as Ash did most of the plugging in, but now I know what where plugged into what Now I need one of those mini filters for my ICV, as the pipe coming out of my intake is split just where it joins, so I have had to use duct tape to do a temp fix (see signature ), as I have lots of duct tape. Getting there.............. ________________________________________ '00 Astor Grey GTi-6Team: 'EVO Triangle' This is a quantum car. I don't know where I am, but I'm going really fast. What effect would it have not being connected? ________________________________________ '00 Astor Grey GTi-6Team: 'EVO Triangle' This is a quantum car. Especially at this time of year. It's generally needed if you're running in cold start temps of -15c plus... ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |
