Right, mines f**ked. Its the original one so its past its useable life anyway so im after a new one. Id like a Bosch one seeing as they are original equipment but i cant for the life of me find one for a sensible price so ive been looking at NGK/NTK ones seeing as i know they are also very good quality. Ive found two but cant seem to find a difference except price and engine code (of which the latter ive never heard of!)

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NGK-LAMBDA-oxygen-o2-SENSOR-Front-Peugeot-306-2-0i-16V-GTi-6-07-96-04-97-0445-/230819733274?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item35bded9f1a

This one says its for a XU10J4RS8

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NGK-LAMBDA-oxygen-o2-SENSOR-Front-Peugeot-306-2-0i-16V-GTi-6-07-96-04-97-5739-/290737523698?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item43b14e8bf2

And this one says its for a XU10J4RS. What the hell is the difference except price?

cheers guys

This is the correct Bosch item, part no 0258003717, and at £63 it is only about £12 more than the ones you are looking at.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/0258003717-Bosch-Lambda-Oxygen-Sensor/dp/B0096BOXYI

Pug charges £188 for this very same part.

Oh nice one! I did try finding a bosch one but was struggling. ECP just cant get lambdas for the 6 and GSF want £98 for the privilege. Cheers!

ECP CAN do lambdas for the 6, cos it uses the same lambda as 90% of 306's...

Yep, 0258003717 is the correct Bosch part number. Any Bosch stockist will be able to supply this, at a fraction of the cost of Peugeot. Yes

peugeot are rips man, complete rips, exhaust bolt kit pug = 23 quid, car spares = 5 quid
plastic drop link arms 43 quid each from pug from ebay 12 pound for a pair.

what really p**sed me off is the peugeot express parts right next door does unofficial parts for like a quarter the price but doesnt sell to non trade customers. so its hit and miss wether i can blag to said man in there .

Ordered this one and it arrived today (took almost a week!). Car is now much smoother, doesnt sound any where near as bad and doesnt stink of fuel from the exhaust.
Just to give you an idea as to how it was, 350 mile round trip for fcs this weekend, mostly motorway, no track time and it cost me £85 in fuel. Last leg of the journey there, i averaged on the trip computer 11.5mpg Sad

thats not 11mpg? unless i worked it out wrong

at a petrol price of 1.31

£85 would get you 64 litres

thats 14.2 gallons
350/14.2 is 24MPG

still not great, but isnt 11MPG

Lol yeah was only a 35 mile stretch. Parts of the journey it was hitting 35mpg which is good considering but then suddenly it would just plummet again.
