Getting really f*cked off now! Fitted my hispecs the other day, went for a drive and one of them leaked. Retightened the nipple and drove it again. Not as bad this time. Today i noticed it had been weeping again after the last drive so i took the new nipple out and replaced it with one of the old ones. Went for a normal drive and perfect. No leaks. Got into my road and thought id see what happens if i slammed the brakes on. Pedal went slightly soft and has again leaked. Any ideas? im fearing the worst that the seat inside the calliper is damaged Its leaking mainly though the bleed hole but i think it may also be weeping around the threads (difficult to tell) |

Sorry if this is a suggestion that you think is pointless, but being a plumber will PTFE tape work on threads or Would that not work, just a suggestion |

PTFE tape would work with brake fluid but the issue is that the threads dont seal the bleed nipple. The seat in the bottom does so regardless of if i use PTFE tape on it, it will still leak through the bleed hole |

It wouldn't work anyway, if its leaking from where it seats it will just leak from the bleed hole anyway.________________________________________ '90 1.6 205 GTi, '98 306 GTi-6 |

replace the bleed nipple insert, rallydesign stock ones that fit wilwoods but they look the same, or phone hispec and ask them.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Sounds like the caliper seat, I had this issue a few months back, rather annoying. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

It was a rear caliper, ended up replacing the caliper. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |
