I have released the two front clips on a standard radio.
It moves out 1cm and then gets stuck.
Any more pressure pulling it out and the front will break off!

Is there a way to open up around the radio to push it out from the back
or do factory radio have additional fixings to undo?
Do the rubber bungs expand over time?

Any help much appreciated its 30 degrees and I miss my aircon! Whistle

If you need to push from the back you can remove the instrument pannel from behind the steering wheel,..
I've never removed a standard stereo so
Couldn't tell you if there were any more retaining clips?

Iirc you can get to to the rear of radio if you remove speedo cluster.Dunno

Pretty sure on the rear of radio it pushes into bung to stop it bouncing, but should just pull out of it.
Could it be the wiring holding it in?

Hi mate,
As said, sounds like the stereo wiring is snagging around the back somewhere.
keep the keys in place in the stereo, then wiggle like mad, the stereo I mean LOL

If it is stuck, then you can get to the back by removing the instrument cluster as a last resort Smile
