Anyone ever took a grinder to these bits??
(Come on miles or someone must've)

Short of saving up for a glass fibre/carbon fibre bonnet
I'm contemplating cutting these bits out gingerly
So my bodies will squeeze under with tiny bit of space for movement

What bodies are you using?

Cutting will be pretty easy, iirc the frame is stuck to the skin with tiger seal sort of stuff?Dunno

That will take some getting off without damaging the skin I would guess.

Easy enough, but the bonnet will dent very easily once you remove the stiffeners so be careful once you've done it.

There's room mei, it's the tabs on the filter that are catching slightly (I've put slam panel on and used my dturbo bonnet to experiment) and I don't fancy using socks

Just grind down the steel smooth around the area its touching, no need to buy stuff or cut loads off taking loads of time.

I'm gonna cut the metal marked out so that the tabs have space and also to eradicate the possibility of the foam gettin cut/rubbed
There's a shed load of reinforcement all over the rest of the bonnet tbh, was just wondering if it'd been done b4 Wink
