Yeah should be able to keep it under 100.

Standard gti6's with no oil cooler reach 140 which isn't great!

Some oils actually work better being hot, like Pro S that im using, mine goes around 100c road use in hot weather, 90 at all other times.

As said, ideally 120c really. Although make sure you do a few laps at a time and give the car one or two cooling down laps before you come in, you'll be fine. Thumbs up

Stan takes engine cooling/rest periods very seriously, on average he gives his car 9 months recuperation time every year. This is very good for the car, I don't understand why more people don't do the same Unsure

Laugh my ass off

Yes indeed, the car does get A LOT of rest, but that's only because I don't need to use it so therefore it only goes out when I want it to. Yes

Come the end of this year (September to be precise) it will be taken off the road for the foreseeable future altogether as I want to concentrate on other things. Smile

Will you put it on some kind of plinth with in a glass case, with a brass commemorative plaque perhaps?

LOL

I'm not selling it, just boxing it up in the garage for a few years again like last time. Cool

I might take up Jim's idea actually, will stop it getting dusty if it's in a glass box. Yes

I'm running a 6 engined 205 and the oil was pretty hot on track. Any idea what the second to last white line equates to in degrees?

I saw temperatures close to 140 at the ring. But 90-100 on the road, so I'm sure I won't need a cooler for road work but I'll see about fitting one before next years ring trip

Mine was reading 140+ after one lap of the ring too.
