Yeah should be able to keep it under 100. Standard gti6's with no oil cooler reach 140 which isn't great! ________________________________________ 230 hp 2.1 16v XU 205 rallye on jenveys Project thread here309 3dr K20 Type R |

Some oils actually work better being hot, like Pro S that im using, mine goes around 100c road use in hot weather, 90 at all other times.________________________________________ Pug fee`ver,Pick a Bogey, buy a Pug. As said, ideally 120c really. Although make sure you do a few laps at a time and give the car one or two cooling down laps before you come in, you'll be fine. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

Stan takes engine cooling/rest periods very seriously, on average he gives his car 9 months recuperation time every year. This is very good for the car, I don't understand why more people don't do the same ________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. Come the end of this year (September to be precise) it will be taken off the road for the foreseeable future altogether as I want to concentrate on other things. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

Ive seen my mate rich's rallye go past 140c on most trackdays, done about 8 days on the same oil, never misses a beat. I'm not selling it, just boxing it up in the garage for a few years again like last time. I might take up Jim's idea actually, will stop it getting dusty if it's in a glass box. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

I'm running a 6 engined 205 and the oil was pretty hot on track. Any idea what the second to last white line equates to in degrees?________________________________________ 1992 Onyx Black 205 GTI-62005 Honda S2000 (Sold) 2002 Audi S3 (Sold) 2005 Clio 182 Trophy (sold) |

I saw temperatures close to 140 at the ring. But 90-100 on the road, so I'm sure I won't need a cooler for road work but I'll see about fitting one before next years ring trip________________________________________ Red Rallye - Rolling "restoration"Wishbone Polybushes available |
