Does anyone know why richs old car ran the original 6 rib setup and his newer kits run an 8 rib setup? Is it due to belt slippage or something? Before anyone asks I have pm'd Rich but im an impatient bugger so thought I would ask on here too |

Think iirc it's because the Rotrex has one more rib than the bottom pulley, Rich told me that he suspected slip so he made bottom pulleys to take advantage of the extra width.Hope that helps ________________________________________ Get used to seeing the yellow one !!!Team 330™ Team "no front end or engine" Team "LIMITED EDITION" I live for the 306 sticker Team 0-60 in 6.44 & standing qtr in 14.808 @ 94.55mph all with std engine 203bhp Corolla T-Sport daily driver stealthier than Kwai Chang Caine |

Ok thanks, I assumed that was the reason behind it, I also assume that it wasn't that much of an issue or rich would have swapped his over to the 8 rib setup?? |

Rich's C38 setup was running all 8-rib parts, as is mine and Andy's (buzzbrightyear). It is indeed to help eliminate belt slippage. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

You can see the differences to the normal kit in the pics below, which is essentially what i'm selling (although the kit I have retains the original 6-rib drive belt; not an 8-rib drive belt):________________________________________ WHILST THE FORUM IS DOWN PLEASE CONTACT ME VIA THE EMAIL ADDRESS BELOW, OR ON 07732 822546 lynxpowerengineering.co.uk Contact me - rich@lynxpowerengineering.co.uk 443 BHP | 315+ LBS/FT Rotrex Powered XU10J4RS Parts in stock: - Alloy engine pullies - crank, idler, tensioner - PAS pump relocation kits for throttle body users - Uprated big-end and main bearings - Billet steel flywheels - superlight, 3.8KG - Roller bearing wishbone bushes - new batch soon - please see Thread in Parts for Sale - Supercharger kits - DIY + drive-in, drive-out conversions - SAENZ and PEC forged con-rods, Wossner forged pistons - ECU unlocking for all Marelli 1AP ECU's - GTI-6, Rallye, 106, Saxo etc etc - Fuel Swirl Pots - Re-conditioned Cylinder Heads Posted 7th Oct 2011 at 10:32 Send PM | Profile | Quote |

I ask as I know he was selling a C38 kit which was 6-rib, however the 8-rib was actually fitted to his vehicle. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

Exactly, it was the kit for sale that has a 6-rib system not the actual one that was on Rich's car. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |
