Is it possible they're actually for a lower spec model, or are all 306 wishbones the same?

There seems to be a slight problem with a set of replacement wishbones I've bought- the front bushes are approx. 2mm thinner than the old ones, meaning they don't fit snugly into the subframe. Is it possible they're actually for a lower spec model, or are all 306 wishbones the same? ________________________________________ High boost '6 for weekends406 2.1 Executive for weekdays |

What make?Probs just a crap pattern part I would guess You might find the subframe will bend inwards enough when the bolt is tightened up and hold them ok ________________________________________ Red GTB1756 powered Fabia VRS daily driver,LBSC Gti6 eater........Mac1 ZR R1 kit car build in progress. |

Not sure whether I trust them with such poor fitment, so I think I'll take them back ________________________________________ High boost '6 for weekends406 2.1 Executive for weekdays |

Beware of cheapo ECP wishbones. Both of those broke within a week of eachother, less than a year old too, f**king dangerous bunch of c**ts that designed them, not a patch on OEM. ________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. As for the gap either side of the front bush, feed an M10 washer in each side, or failing that just let the fixing bolt squeeze the sides in after you fit the arm.________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. The pug dealer in Maidstone uses two types of wishbone. The oem one and the cheaper motaquip one. I will always use the genuine ones but so I hear, the motaquip ones are okay. ________________________________________ See the sheer power and might of the lesser known burrowing owl. |

Interesting that a Pug dealer supplies motaquip - a mechanic told me motaquip was good quality stuff and suggested it is made by a Pug OE supplier, but I have no evidence for that bit. My car had recent motaquip wishbones on it (stickers still on them) when I got it and they looked good quality - the only downside is they rusted quickly. I replaced them with new OE in my quest to get rid of any rusty bits. If not going for OE, best to go for recognised brands who are OE suppliers like Lemforder or Febi. EDIT: I've found some evidence of a Peugeot connection - from: http://www.motaquip.co.uk/index.php/about-us "Motaquip was established in 1981 and is one of the PSA Peugeot Citroen group of companies. We supply a comprehensive range of spare parts&components, predominantly for the service and repair of all makes of vehicles - from Alternators to Wiper Blades, Alfa Romeo to Volvo. We are proud to boast that our service wear&tear range is made up of original equipment matching quality parts." ________________________________________ Cherry Rallye SOLD |

Yep, Motaquip are supposedly OE parts (or as near as can be) but cheaper. I've not heard of any horror stories with them, but I'd still always go OE with my wishbones thanks.________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |
