In my quest for more noise I have spotted this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/350807866893?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

And wonder how bad would it be having a filter on the TB as I am sure Peugeot used the design they did for good reason.
Would it suck in too much hot air?
And would it make an awesome noise?
Thanks

Makes a nice noise, but sucks in hot air from the radiator. These engines seem to like a longer inlet for a nice torque curve.

You would get an awful lot of heatsoak with that fitted. Yes

As mentioned noise would be nice but heat soak is an issue, an enclosed inuction kit like bmc carbon filter for example with a direct cold air feed would be better to get that cold air in Thumbs up

Less heatsoak more the induction pipe length needs to be longer. You lose torque with it directly on the TB. Noticeable more when you go back to the original - the noise makes it feel quicker initially.

Even with a open induction kit located on the bottom of the standard inlet pipe you deffo loose low down throttle response/torque/driveabilityThumbs down

Glad you guys have said this, as I have one of these filters fitted and didnt realise about the heat soak, so maybe should be looking at different air filter or go back to standard airbox?

If you're worried about heatsoak, just drive through a nice deep puddle, that'll cool it off LOL
