Hi my freinds gti6 has developed two problems at exactly the same time, while driving the battery light came on and the windows stopped working, 1 is stuck in the down position, the car starts fine, I've yet to check it with a multimeter but I'm now convinced it could be linked, would the wiring in the door pillar in the rubber sleeve of cut through and be shorting out somehow causing the battery light to come on and both fail to work?Im Not sure where to start with this one. ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

Sounds like the door loom is in trouble and also the alternator is not charging the battery. Two separate things. Check the battery voltage when the car is running would be my first port of call mate.________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

Excellent, good to know it was an easy fix. Hopefully, there's not an underlying issue which caused to fuse to blow in the first place.________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

Ah, that makes sense. Water ingress usually is the culprit for that one. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |
