Volt guage needs a permanent live (via a shareable fuse 2,3 amp should be fine) and an earth, if its illuminated too you'll need to find a wire that is live when your lights are on, a courtesy light from anything behind the dash should do fine for this.
Is your oil temp guage electrical or mechanical?

I'd be more interested in oil pressure myself.

Sorry fatlip its not fast and furious

Davey I had a quick read somewhere not here, that for the volts you can split the stereo 12 volt?

The oil is mechanical do I need a sender?

Hmmm hot pressurised oil behind the dash? I think I'd want an isolator, check Merlin motor sports or similar for something to keep hot oil away from you if a pipe fails.

Why are you fitting an oil temp gauge? There is one already on the dash cluster as standard. Blink

I ran my volt meter from the battery itself.

Would also opt for a pressure gauge to be honest (I did) far less p**sing around and more useful.

In terms of lighting them up I took a feed from the heater knobs and soldered small wires to circuit board, that way you can control the whole lot on the dimmer switch.

These days i would just pay someone to do it, f**k all that nonsense Big grin

as accurate as an aftermarket gauge, and as accurate as you needs it to be.
