Just fitted a new stepper, map sensor and coolant sensor and now it revs to about 2k on startup for a few minuets. Even then when you rev it seem to take longer to come back down than usual?I had the ecu unplugged for a while too |

Did you leave the car running for a few minutes for ecu and the new icv to adapt? You need to start the car with minimal electrics running (heater off, radio off, headlights off etc..) and let it run for a while without touching anything - this is for the ecu.. The icv may take a little longer to adapt.. It may take 10 startups or even more for everything to come back to normal. But you can start driving after the ecu has adapted, the icv will do it's magic in the backround ________________________________________ 306 S16 "Peugeot Sport GrpN" '94, 405 Mi16 "OEM+" '89, 605 SV24 "Executive Express" '91 |

Switch the ignition onto the second click and wait 5 seconds, then switch it back off again.Do this 4 or 5 times. What you are doing here is allowing the stepper motor to "initialise" and each time you do it, the shaft in the centre will come out slightly further. After about 4 or 5 times, it should be where it needs to be and then the problem should be solved. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |
