Well picked up this rather lovely Rallye on september 10th 2011.

I'm sure by now you all know the history to the car but for those of you who don't....

it's one of the ex-Peugeot press cars from 98/99.

So plans were to

Repear small amount of rust in rear arch
Xsara washer jets
rear beam mounts
wash, rinse, polish, repeat
CD player
Rallye Decals (front has gone pink)
Rallye Matts from eBay
the gear knob (looks a little tatty)
Powdercoated inlet
strut brace (upper & maybe a lower)

picked up a nice little pioneer head unit for the old girl

After the cleaning session I popped into halfrauds and got a touch up pen set & some brushes.

The passanger door had a small paint chip near the rallye decal that I wanted to at least get a coat of paint on before winter. So light brushing, white primer, bianic white & laccuer later this was the result. (it's not perfect but until I can do it properly it'll do)

then thought I'd get some pics from one of my fav places

baker bm mounts bought Thumbs up

they were seriously needing changing

after these were fitted the car got a clean and then a trip up to have the photo shoot done for the buyers guide feature in pfc

after that it was time to pop the winter wheels on

The Rallye then made it to the cover of pfc (albeit in micro picture form!)

buyers guide

This then happened Angry

broken engine mount. trip down to southampton for Daveyboy to weld in my new plate for the top mount. He's also welded up the small holes in the boot for an extra £20 Big grin

then before

mid-way

after

the next weekend I fitted Xsara washer jets

and sprayed the rear weld

then set about changing the gear knob

New

[/URL]

By this time it was feb 2012 and I was getting ready to go to university so I purchased a going away gift for the car

it then became a cake....Whistle

anyhow french car show 2012 rolled around and this happened

new boot latch required... LOL

after much time and the rallye being at home, she came back to birmingham with me. where me and a friend set about fitting a cam cover and the inlet mani

so nice peugeot lion there.....the drive home melted the glue and the badge fell off Roll eyes

months rolled past and 2012 left and 2013 arrived.

and the fuel pump relay died and then the offside drivers side bulb holder died and then the wiper stalk packed up....
all of these have been changed in the past week.

a rather rusty fuel pump relay

finally a list of what I fancy doing next

Rallye Bonnet Decal (got although not fitted)
Rallye Matts from eBay
Engine out treat rust in engine bay
group N gear linkages (got but currently not fitted)
sparco steering wheel
Cams
Half rear cage
Carpet boot
Remove rear seats
Oil cooler
Make speak mounts to attach to where rear seats were
lightened flywheel
harnesses
Helmet netting
Avo Coilover collars x3
Tolman Motorsport custom built upper & lower strut braces

anyhow some more general photo whoreage and im done for now.

Nice work. That engine mount looked pretty horrible. Good to see it being looked after.

Did you buy it off some guy who did a whole lot of work to it, and took it to the Ring?

Good to see one of the original press cars still about and being given some love.

If I ever get another 306, it'll be a Bianca Rallye.Thumbs up

About time you did a project thread adam, and the picture of the boot coming when we were on track was funny, I still laugh when I see that photo. Glad to see it running again

So after changing the wiper stalk it was still broken.

Done a scrap yard run today bought a new wiper motor and arms & also "liberated" a new washer bottle cap & some proper Xsara washer jets.

Anyhow after this I now have a full working set of wipers. The motor had rusted after it became clogged up with dirt & gunk from it being stood for a few months when I was at Uni.

Happy days for the wipers lasted about 4 days.

During the changing of the arm I sheered a bolt. The arm them
Bounced off the bottom of the screen putting a crack about 1ft long in it, new windscreen required. However the sheered bolt has been removed & new bolts fitted.

Decided it deserved a decent clean & I need some new bits so a trip to halfrauds and came away with a few little bits

Then a quick 3 hour clean and she looked fairly tidy again Smile

Under James' ownership it had the wheels changed, exhaust, some yellow bits, and went for a stroll around the ring.

It was put back to standard when I bought it, and then the Avo GTX kit was put on, along with solid engine mounts, adjustable top mounts, Peugeot Sport Sparco seats, Sebring exhaust and some other toys. Then Adam had a ride around Rockingham in it and the next thing you know he owns it Wink

You need to add coilover service to your list of plans!
