Afternoon chaps.

Whats the best way to discover a vacuum leak? Can of carb cleaner spraying around the vacuum lines?

Any other methods that are best for 6's / Rallyes?

Cheers

Can of carb cleaner will do the trick if your leak is letting the engine draw in air, the revs should change when you hit the right spot.

If its on the pipes other than taking them off and inspecting them, then blocking one end and seeing if you can suck through it I'm not sure how else you could check them.

What makes you think you have a vacuum problem?

I have a stuttering on idle/hesitation on acceleration issue. Have checked most things but although a visual inspection of the vacuum lines has not revealed anything i thought i best do a test of sorts before getting a diagnostics guy out

The rallye I had for a short while was hesitating on small throttle openings but fine otherwise. It failed the mot idle test so I swapped the lambda which seemed to cure it.

It is most likely a lambda problem. Yes
