My problem is a lack of a wiring diagram for my gti6. I've done many transplants for my self and friends which was easy enough with the help of the tinternet, but this time I'm going one step more and am building a lotus 7 track car based on a 6 which is a bit off the wall as I've not seen one out there after searching for hours. I have a 6 engine and loom which is fine for a road car but in this case all I need is a simple loom that will run the engine and charge the battery which means no more plug and play as I need to get rid of as much of the redundant wiring as possible. thanks and look forward to any help Dunno

I'm afraid there is very little redundant wiring in the 306 gti6/rallye engine loom.

I guess you could pull the A/C pump clutch switch wire out, the reversing light wires, charcoal canister.

any of the dash you could remove also, so that's one wire for the temperature, one for pressure, two for coolant temp, two for oil level.

the rest is needed to run the engine!

Or go for a standalone ECU and some bodies and cut down on all the sensors and other paraphernalia.
