Need to get a new alternator as mine sounds like someone trying to play a cat, have called up me mate at the factors and he tells me he is showing 3 different versions for my reg. Ive got an R plate Ph2 GTI-6 BTW Smile

Did a quick search on here and found this thread http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=150957 that suggests there are actually only two, a 61mm/80amp for non AC and a 62mm/95A version for AC cars like mine.

Problem is that he doesnt list either combination - hes got some that have smaller pulley wheels and some with higher ampage but none that are 61/62mm and have an output of 95A, the one he can find with that output is a 56mm wheel apparently Crazy

Anyone give me a hint, or even btter a part number I can quote? Thankyoukindly Thumbs up
