I'm not going to fit a complete racing pedal box to my boggo 306 and similarly I don't fancy some s**tty cheap bright red anodized Aluminium jobbies from Halfords either that are just going to be slippy as funk...

However I would like some pedals that make heel & toe shifting a little easier as I'm only a size 8 shoe and my feet naturally point outwards, which makes it difficult to get my heel over to the throttle pedal so instead I roll my root over to the side and press the throttle that way. The gap between the brake and the throttle is on the wide side as standard I find, so does anyone have any recommendations as to which pedals are worth the money?

TLDR: Recommend me some non chavvy pedals. Thumbs up

Making your own could work, as long as it's obviously all put together properly and safely. Don't just Blu-tak some steel sheet to the existing ones or anything.

LOL of course, I'll just trim some sheet aluminium to the shape I want and get some skate grip tape to put on top.

Check the regs but I believe the minimum gap between pedals for MOT pass is 50mm.

I hadn't thought of that, but after a bit of Googling that appears to only apply to the rest of Europe and not the UK. What I have found though is that if there isn't any rubber "grip" on the pedals they can fail because of that, so I guess whether or not using abrasive tape would be passable or not is down to the tester on the day.

I went with that spacing (Had to trim the aluminium Sparco pedal covers I was using at the time) and it worked well for me, I heel and toe with the side of my foot, not the heel and toe (This is how most people do it these days because of the spacing or positioning of the pedals).
