Needed a good head as my belts just snapped

You would be better off with head and block as bottom ends tend to go not long after a belt snap Yes

Never seen that issue much on these engines if at all.

was torqued up using a snap on digital wrench as per autodata

the broken bolt could be removed, it won't be bottomed out in the hole so should be fairly straight forward to undo it, providing it is drilled bang on centre then use a stud extractor...been here, done, this a few times. Easy out is your best friend

ive got a spare bottom end but the bolt will be easy to get out

true. you may be lucky to find theres enough of the stud left exposed, so you could use vice grips to undo it

if your careful about it, you will get it out. Although i would be puzzled as to why did it happen in the first place? Did your belt kit come with a new bolt?

yeah mate I got everything for it I cant believe its happened tbh, I wasn't even honing it was only sitting at 4k cruising in 6th

...4k at 60, that heads well and truly knackered then. normally i would blame incorrect torque tighten but if you've done it right then it must be faulty bolt. Unlucky.

i know that Dayco are offering money towards repairs should one of their kits f**k up, tbh i doubt you will get any help here though.
