Model:GTi-6
# Age/Reg:V plate 1999
# Colour: Astor Grey
# Mileage:120k
# Service history: Erm, Serviced by me. Other than that there's a folder full of receipts
# Cambelt: Done @ 100k by Richard Walker
# MOT until:March 2014
# Tax until:June 2013
# Number of previous owners: 6
# Air con working? Nope
# Modifications:
RichW front roller bearing bushes.
Miles Solid rear beam mounts.
Ash'a hybrid anti roll bar in the rear.
Front strut brace painted black.
Lowered on Eibachs springs on the front. -30mm Shocks are still standard.
Rear lowered to suit. Stainless Braided flexi-brake lines all round.
K&N induction kit fitted by myself, sounds awesome.
Nissens Rad.
Falken ze912's all round with around 4,000 miles wear.

Alpine wireless with built in Parrot hands free. Phone connect via bluetooth. Mic is fitted to the right of driver head. Also speakers are ungraded but I can't remember the make of them.

It's not perfect IMO but It's pretty good for an 12 year old car. There are the usual few dents from inconsiderate people on the sides.

Wheels aren't perfect but they're not too shabby BUT most importantly they're straight.

It had a genuine pug full exhaust late last year.

New (secondhand) nearside driveshaft replaced by Mechrepairs due to a problem with the ABS sensor ring.

New rear discs and pads last year (I only did 6k miles last year in total between MOT's)

Newly done black mask headlights installed.

Comes with an extra mint rear spoiler and another set of black mask headlights (left over from a friends 6)

All in all this is a good motor, the paintwork is really good considering the age of the car, I've always polished and waxed it (dodo juice) At the moment it isn't being used but it is still insured. I have a book full of service history and receipts.

Realistically I'm looking for £1200 ono.

LOL the temptation is there Chris but I want a diesel now tbh I cringe everytime I fill my Focus up and that does more miles to a smaller tank... Would be nice but wanting a house and a money pit doesn't really mix No

Ah i get you, have you considered getting a cheap CHEAP 6 that fubar'd and slowly fixing it over a period of time. Shouldnt cost you much in the long run, and you could just drive it when you had the money. ie: track session every now and again, Weekly sunday blast etc. That way you could justify it and could still have your devil/deisel car.

Id be happy to help with the work where i could Thumbs up.

haha I bought a half decent rallye and I've still spent more than the sale price repairing and refreshing it.

I'd love another Astor though

That has crossed my mind a few times but A) I have No confidence working on cars other than the very basics, changing bulbs/filters etc Cool Where to keep it? I could keep it up the Farm for £20 a month but it would turn into Sh** over there out in the open Sad I have thought about getting a decent example and storing it at one of these 'Self Storage' places with container accomadation for "Classic" cars but it will more than likely be more than I would realistically want to pay.
