Yes on a GTI6 un soldering the chip is the old way of doing it. Needless to say i had it removed because it actually made the car slower it also revved to 7,650 rpm Superchips do it via OBD. ________________________________________ Team Nile 6Team: 40.2 MPG 5 x a 306 owner! currently abusing type r's in a town near you ™ I truely live for the 306 ® Build date: 29th October 1997 Wednesday's car midweek madness |

Strange that a superchips dealer looked it up for me and said the ecu needs opening up. How much did it cost you? ________________________________________ Red GTB1756 powered Fabia VRS daily driver,LBSC Gti6 eater........Mac1 ZR R1 kit car build in progress. |

Their H/O is down the road from me in Buckingham. I believe it was £150 with 7 day money back guarantee if your not happy. As said its s**te and does nothing to the car at all. It's literally a 10 minute job. ________________________________________ Team Nile 6Team: 40.2 MPG 5 x a 306 owner! currently abusing type r's in a town near you ™ I truely live for the 306 ® Build date: 29th October 1997 Wednesday's car midweek madness |

If it's that bad, are you sure they did a proper job? ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

It's just a generic map Stan. They used a 6 with a cat back and panel filter to make their adjustments. I asked to see the graph to see where the changes are made and its literally just ignition advance here and there. I also watched them load the map and the fact my rev limit was raised was proff enough it was on there. ________________________________________ Team Nile 6Team: 40.2 MPG 5 x a 306 owner! currently abusing type r's in a town near you ™ I truely live for the 306 ® Build date: 29th October 1997 Wednesday's car midweek madness |
