Ouch.
Though I'd guess if you can get a £75k car as a company car then income probably isn't so much of an issue.

Out of interest I just looked up the difference you'll pay in tax on the base E220 diesel and the E63 AMG - £2500 for the former, £10,000 a year extra in income tax to have the latter as a company car. Ouch. Yeah I wouldn't mind a job where you get an E63AMG as a company car. I joked with the Johannesburg office that if they gave me a fuel card with the job they were offering i'd be choosing an E63 AMG as the company car haha. AMGs were everywhere over theres, especially the ML63.I just found a very nice Seat Leon FR 170TDi Supercopa on auto trader. One of those with a remap would do nicely. I should stop looking really til I know if i get it or not. ________________________________________ I'm Si btwNight Blue VW Golf GTD Bianca LBSC Rallye - Track/Road Slag Project Thread Sparkling Silver Mini Cooper D - Super Dooper - (The other half's wheels) |

Plus I'm not sure what HMRC's policy is on remapping company cars ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

Do you have to take a company car Simon? Seems silly if you're happy with your current fleet and you'll end up getting taxed more as a result. But I guess if you've got no choice then that's fair enough.________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

The package will likely offer a car, or the allowance in my pocket. I think we actually only do allowances anyway, given we're not affiliated with any automotive industries. I'd have to conform to their requirements is all, likely to be a need for a 4 door and under 3 years old. That Seat would make sense, good price, good performance, looks smart and full of all the toys i'd want form a luxo-barge like cruise, xenons, leather and is circa 215bhp when mapped without the premium attached to a somewhat plain looking 5 door Golf GTD. 55MPG book £120 road tax. ________________________________________ I'm Si btwNight Blue VW Golf GTD Bianca LBSC Rallye - Track/Road Slag Project Thread Sparkling Silver Mini Cooper D - Super Dooper - (The other half's wheels) |

I see, fair enough if you're forced into having it, personally I wouldn't want one due to the extra tax you would have to pay.Seat are a nice car and as you say, once remapped are more than capable of being a nice quick package with good MPG. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

I'll read up on it when they offer it to me, but it's certainly worthwhile taking the allowance. I'd much rather choose my own car.Buzzing like a bee for tomorrow morning. ________________________________________ I'm Si btwNight Blue VW Golf GTD Bianca LBSC Rallye - Track/Road Slag Project Thread Sparkling Silver Mini Cooper D - Super Dooper - (The other half's wheels) |

Haha thanks. The other half has rubbished the Leon, says it looks like a Boy Racer mobile. I said pah to that, it fits the bill and I think it looks pretty decent - front could be a bit less in your face but who cares! I'm not sure i'm ready for a big massive saloon yet, i'm only 31. One like this! ________________________________________ I'm Si btwNight Blue VW Golf GTD Bianca LBSC Rallye - Track/Road Slag Project Thread Sparkling Silver Mini Cooper D - Super Dooper - (The other half's wheels) |
