I believe that Wayne Schofield has packed up and I need someone to do a proper rolling road map using my standard ECU.
Have any of you guys used anyone in the North West?
Ship Brown's have offered a rolling road tune but when questioned admitted that they cannot map he ECU, when asked what do you tune the reply was "we'll, err, ehm, err, we'll, the timing"?

used to be a place near me a few yrs ago who did some work on my S16 ecu, they were called Injectors in Stockport.

also there is Prosport who do live rolling road tuning etc but not sure on their Peugeot capabilities. but a fantastic company

what about Awesome GTI? do they just do RR's and that's it? (they're near my office)

The trouble is with the standard ECU it is a old style 'chip',so needs removing and a modified one fitting.

These can be altered for mods in a writer, but to change it again you need to remove the chip and re-write it to alter anythingThumbs down

So it will be very time consuming if you can find someone to do itDunno

You can not re-map the standard ECU via the OBD port like on modern ECU's,Chip Wizards add a port to the ECU while it is open so they can then alter the chip via this port,as far as I know they are the only place that offers this serviceSad
Hence why its circa £400 to get it done, but once the port is in they can alter the chip easily to fine tune it.

Looks like Wayne has gone back to working mobile again, I got his mobile from his landline answer phone, I've left him a text. Fingers crossed!

He's given up the unit in Rochdale and is working mostly from Ninemeister in Warrington. I think they give him quite a lot of work and they obviously let him do his own work there too as that's where I'm going today.

Well I'm back from my Schofield map :-))
198.3 Bhp & 221Nm!
@ Coskev, Wayne confirmed that he can and does map std 6 ecu's through the obd, it just depends on the spec, early Bosch ecu's can't be done, most of the keypad immobiliser cars can't be done and anything with throttle bodies & or wild cams.

Freshly built & balanced bottom end, gas flowed head, PT80 cams with adjustable pulleys, Peugeot Motorsport exhaust system with sports cat and twin down pipes, Pipercross Viper enclosed induction system and enlarged throttle body. Rev limit moved to 7500.
Ive been driving the car this evening and its amazing, nice, smooth, constant power with a good surge from 4500 to 7500.

Yes, I also have a decked block, a skimmed head, std rods & pistons, a safe, strong engine that makes good power, great torque and more importantly it's up and running, will be competing on Sunday and not just a box of bits that I can't decide how to put together because the forum sheep said that one particular part might give a couple of bhp more that another!
f**k off with your sarcastic smiley face, you tit!

@ T99PUG, yes the PT80s are a safe cam, the car runs very well with them in plus other tweeks, especially happy with the torque and power delivery.

not at all bad considering some people are not seeing as much as you with the 81's
so very tempted to just go for a conversion similar to this. minimal work and fuss free imo
