Hi does anybody do an aftermarket or race version of a gear lever as I keep braking the standard ones on my race car. When I say gear lever I mean the base aswell |

Combrake do a stick and base I believe but you have to fabricate something for lift up reverseI also believe Colin Sattchel is making a set up for the 306 |

Hi, maybe try a solid gear lever from another 306 model instead of the hollow GTi6 ones. If it's a race car, you could remove the reverse gear cable. When changing from fifth to sixth I've found it is nearly impossible to shift into reverse. |

Funny you should say that, I think I've just worked out why I keep braking them. I'm running a silencer box about an inch directly below the gear lever with no heat shield, so I think the heat is cracking the plastic. looks like I'm gonna need another lever, heat shield and exhaust from manifold back. This expence is never ending |

I.used a nice looking bike brake lever for a reverse. Clamped it to my gear stick trimed the reverse cable crimp and sheath.Works a treat. I'll put a picture on my project threat if I get near a proper computer tommorow. ________________________________________ 98 onyx black 306 Rallye53 Nissan Primastar silver (work horse) 58 black Volvo c30 sport |
