Yeah I was a bit disappointed he just mentioned the power and that was it! I know the 205 trumps all Peugeots but I expected him to say more on the 306 than the 106! Picked up the magazine today, good little read.

Its such a typical and predictable comparison that he was blatantly paid to have.. And how many times is he going round the same corner?

Close your eyes and it could be Jenson Button doing the talking, it was annoying me all the way through until I twigged who his voice reminds me of.

Yeah, and I think he got it wrong too, 205,306 then 106.
You can't slate a 306 for its interior after a drive in a 106, the dash is made from Lego FFS.

its an honest informed uninfluenced opinion, 306 is a lump compared..... I feel a ban coming on.. the 106 and 205 are loads lighter, thats the bottom line, imo....

I think he's on teh money with that too. The 205 is of course just a lot more fun and involving than the others, but the 306 is bigger and more of a lump than the 106, which is kind of the point as it's also a lot more comfortable and less cramped.

Was anyone else expecting him to go out and actually drive the 208 after the other 3 though? The video seemed to just end abruptly with no real conclusion other than "Yup, just like the thousands of other people who've compared these 3 old cars, I prefer the 205 GTi as well." It's almost as if he *did* go out and drive the 208, but wasn't allowed to finish the video by saying "Yeah, the 205 is still a better car..."

Driven under the speed limit, yes a 306 will feel a bit lumpen, it's a bigger car. You'd have to be giving it some welly for it to shine among the other two.

It did a full 25 miles that day!

To be fair I told him to be careful with it as its do so little miles and NEVER had a cambelt change, I didnt really want them to drive it at all, so I think if he had given it some then he would have enjoyed it more.

If I had known they wanted to drive it I would have took along another Rallye/GTi-6 so he cool have given it some beans. but I think that the verdict was all made up before had anyway!
