what duration and lift are the standard gti6 inlet and exhaust cams?

205 deg @ 0.050 lift and 0.395 unsure on duration.

did you get that info from peter taylor? i thought the gti6 cams were a bit 'hotter' than that

anyway reason im asking is, i was speaking to a guy who has built a couple of turbo'd 6's and he said that the xsi j4r cams woulf be a better choice for a road car as their profiles are more suited to boost as they had less duration

Yes that's from the figure Peter T gives. He knows his beans when it comes to camshafts. IIRC xsi cams are quite a lot less duration compared to the 6 cams.
