standard, apart from the multiplex & complex wiring, i wonder how hard it would be to fit one of these to a 306,
does it share anything with the older TU engines? - mainly mountings

Got my heart set on a turbo'd gti6 engine but have had a brief think about the above engine, 150/175 bhp and ~200 ftlbstandard, apart from the multiplex & complex wiring, i wonder how hard it would be to fit one of these to a 306, does it share anything with the older TU engines? - mainly mountings |

it doesnt have to be multiplex. The sensors are just sensors. You would have to run it on aftermarket management but it would be as simple as it would wiring up a supercharged 6 for aftermarket. How much can the engine be picked up for then? |

not really planning on doing this conversion, was just interested to see whats involvedIf it was to be done, then yes stand alone would be way forward Breakers generally looking for ~ £1500 for bare engine, then theres the turbo, management, conversion parts etc Was there not a guy in Holland who put one of these in a 205? |

Not a great performance engine, lots of reliability issues on the timing gear and oil breathers. Will not be easy to map at all, direct injection vnt vvt fbw etc. Citroen dont use it in their wrc car... ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Mountings is the easy bit, put it in the bay and see where it touches ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

The same way they get around not making an all-wheel-drive road going chassis - the regs don't require it. Look up the WRC regulations.________________________________________ Ph1 306 GTi 6 | RX8 231 S1 | YBR 125 Cafe Racer | MT-03 660 |

They changed the rules for 2011, all the ones up to that were based on production block and head castings. The Xsara and C4 used XU7 base engines, as did the 206 and 307. 207 S2000 used a naturally aspirated EW10, the R3T DS3's are using the EP6 but I'd imagine with a fair few mods. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |
