Very nice engine, two ways around getting it running, aftermarket, or figure out how to make a multiplex ecu work in a 306, which I believe is possible but never seen any proper details posted.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

I think I would go aftermarket ecu probably DTA as ive used these in the past and had good experience with them. What would be the best way round the fly by wire throttle with an aftermarket ecu? is there a throttle body off an earlier 206 GTi or anything like that what uses a cable what can be fitted to the gti180 inlet manifold? |

potentially you could use the throttle position sensor from a 306 hdi. you keep the standard cable operated pedal and the cable on that runs to the sensor mounted somewhere in the engine bay. Alternatively, you could use a pedal from a 307 but not sure how easy that would be to fit. |

dta does FBW, might be with an additional module though, otherwise I'd be trying a gti6 or v throttle body, earlier EW10's use cable but I dont know the diameter of the T/Byou'd need to sort some kind of idle device if you go manual as the FBW does the idle control as well. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

How about a mildly tuned 2.2 EW from a coupe? 160/160 standard so a fair bit more to be had I'd have thought. Fly by wire as well, but probably all ML gearbox. Single mass fly though. You might also be able to use the cruise control if you get the FBW working right Anyway I have to say the ME7 FBW on my V6 is very, very good. Very little throttle lag, certainly compared to the turbo cars. The 2.2 is also very good, although yet to drive it in anger. ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

I thought the one to have was the standard 206 GTI one you could unlock a lot of power of the 180 but without having vvt like those longmans oprginal jobbys________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |

Not that i wouldnt, I just thought you could get that engine up to gti180 standard pretty easily and they make better mid range? Sure you said that once??Maybe im talking s**te though. Plus i figure that it would be easier to fit without? ________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |

if both are on bodies, yes the 138 engine is a decent starting point, if both are on standard inlets, go with the 180.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

I think if i was to go high boost, I'd think about using a EW instead,Those oilways and aluminum block would come in handy i'm sure ________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |
