Nice, would love one of these myself one day.

Used to make roll cages for them too, look awesome if kitted out nicely.

Usually when people sell up, they move on to something more modern, faster, refined, and comfortable. This is none of these things. LOL

spec wise its got ;

60k
300tdi
reconditioned geabox
disco transfer box with higher top ratios
Brand new galvanised chassis in 2010
terrafirma ( i think) lift kit
terrafirma springs/dampers
16x8 modulars with 265 75 16 cooper mt's
fully sound deadened inside

Its like driving a brick to be honest, but it feels nice to be high up! I'm 6ft and its a good fit for me.

LOL best drivability description ever "like a brick"...amazing how different things look when you're in a taller vehicle. I find I can be twice as nosey when I'm in the tractor and can see over the hedge!

i like a heavy clutch, but i always thought Landy ones were a bit extreme, ie, very little travel and very

'grabby'. has it got the AP calipers?

Cheers Smile funnily enough I looked at an ex mod before this, it was the 2.5 na with no power steering. It was a shed, ye bulkhead was basically made of catty and a screwdriver went straight through it. The seller was convinced it was fine as it wasn't structural and would pass an MOt like that too..

Nice Defender. Was it originally a 300, or was it converted from a 200? Can't remember the crossover year...
My parents have the 2.5 N/A 110, it is staggeringly slow and has the heaviest clutch and steering of any vehicle I've ever driven.
Must scratch my itch for a nice original 300 90 at some point but the prices are huge. Shock

Cheers eddy, picking it up this morning, can't wait it's like Christmas back when you were a kid. As far as I know it's an original 300 tdi, the crossover for the td5 was 1995/6 iirc
