Hi all,

We have recently purchased Stuart Emery's old supercarged rallycross 306 and not really had chance to have a good look at it yet, as been busy getting our other track car ready for the season.

However have noticed when revving the engine that the revs are slightly slow to come back down when you come off the throttle. It is only ever so slight but obvious enough to notice it. Just wanted to see if thi is indicative to having the Lynx supercharger system fitted, which I have strong suspicion it is, however though I would ask.

We will be working on the car in March to get it ready for testing and track days at Blyton in April. We will be just using it on circuits, but having seen how well it goes in the U Tube vids, can not wait to have a go in it.

Thanks in advance.

Do you mean takes longer to find its idle properly or takes longer to drop revs back down from speed? Mine has a lightened flywheel and lightened crank pulley so drops pretty quickly. However you have to consider that the supercharger will still be spinning as well and they will have considered this in the map so it doesn't run lean I would have thought.

Post up a video of what you mean on here and someone can compare it to theirs. Wink

Yes, generally the revs do take *slightly* longer to drop when charged and using the standard (remapped) ECU. The actual kit and charger you have there used to be on my car, Stuart bought the kit from me back at the end of 2009. Cool

Thanks armzs16 for the reply, think it is more thatt it takes longer to drop revs back down from speed. Not too woried as you can still hear the supercharger spinning when you come off the throttle so had assumed it was part of having a charged engine but always nice to get it confirmed.Smile

Thanks stan_306gti6 for your reply also, was thinking of dropping Stuart a PM on here to get a bit of history on the car, as looking at his posts he didnt charge it till 2011.

I also ended up having a phone conversation with Bruce at Wessex racing before we bought the car, they had done some engine work on it when Stuart had it. Bruce is a really nice guy and what he doesnt know about superchargers isnt worth knowing!! Thumbs up

Mentioned to Bruce that we also have an Opcom supercharge kit that we have never go set up and working correctly (long story!!!) and he explained the difference between the two kits, like I said he knows his stuff.Big grin
