• Peugeot 205 GTI 1.9 (BX Mi16)
• 1990 “G”
• 139 k miles on shell
• MOT to June 2013 (with old MOT’s present)
• Tax to end of Nov 2013
PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL ME OFFERING A PX I'M NOT INTERESTED.

Rebuilt 205 mi16 engine built by Richard Longman(1999) . 1.9 16v alloy block, kent cams, vernier pulleys, 4 branch longmans exhaust manifold, stainless steel centre and rear exhaust box, profesionally shortened inlet manifold, engine oil and filter changed every 2,000 miles since rebuild.
This car comes with a folder of reciepts for everything that has been done to it, including the full rebuild of the engine with all new seals, bearings and gaskets, this engine really does pull!
The rear beam has also been given the same treatment and had new bearings and seals fitted and then lowered to suit the 35mm drop of the front suspension which has been done by using top of the range bilstein shocks and springs all round. Ride is firm but turn in is breathe taking thanks to fully polycarbonate wishbone bushes.
The car also has GTI6 front brake upgrade which gives the car some much needed stopping power. The vehicle is also fitted with four superb Michelin Pilot Exalto 2s. These tyres have an excellent reputation on these cars and they’re in superb condition.
well thats the basics of the car, but you cant appreciate it untill you have actually drivin this car, the acceleration of the engine is smooth, revs very nicely, and sounds lovely with the induction kit and four branch manifold. The gear change is the smoothest i have come across for any 205 (iirc it’s a 205 diesel box that had covered 40k) and the handling really is just as impressive.

Vehicle is fitted with a CAT 1 alarm and immobilisor system.

If you are looking for a problem free car then this is it!!!
This car is very clean and tidy throughout, and has obviously been looked after very well for all of its life as believe me it shows.

This car was my daily for a couple of years until I went Australia in 2011. It was SORN until June 2012 and I now run it as my second car; used at weekends during dry weather. Wanted to refurb the wheels this summer as they’re not perfect, however I feel it’s time to move on.

Interior- Seats are in great condition and all side bolsters are in excellent condition The car has been fitted with a BX dash, lights up green- looks brighter and more retro imo. Car is very clean inside. Car has 6x9 speakers on a stealth shelf although I’ve not got a fitted stereo.

I’ve owned 3 205 GTIs and I’ve been an enthusiast for over 10 years (205gtidrivers forum member). This particular car has been under my ownership for the last 4 and a half years. It’s been very well maintained, warmed up correctly and has had any work necessary to maintain it’s fantastic condition.

I’m not looking for any type of part exchanges. Tyre kickers and test pilots will be turned away and if I’m honest this car is FAR too good to be stripped and turned into a track car.

So to conclude, it’s a mechanically sound car which drives without fault, so if you’re thinking of viewing and then making a derisory offer, please do not waste your time or mine.

I vaguely remember the "my new car" post on the 205 forum when you bought this, unless I'm mistaking it for another which is almost identical.

Looks a really tidy example with the best engine, I'd be around tomorrow to have a look if I had the cash. Good luck with the sale though. Smile

There are ways of fixing that. It's not just the weight though. The RFS is more powerful and refined, but the D6C is like having someone sat behind you poking you in the back saying "go on. put your foot down. Bet you can't resist it. go on. I DARE you! DO IT!"
