Could you not show the photos from Daveyboy's thread to a local bodywork place and get them to do the same work?________________________________________ Rich |

Is this really as common as people make out? I've had 3 '6's now and not seen a crack yet. All cars have reached 150k too________________________________________ Red Rallye - Rolling "restoration"Wishbone Polybushes available |

Most garages can weld. You can always buy Jim's DIY kit and get a garage to weld it in.________________________________________ Ex SC-6Now in a Megane R26 |

He dont do the kit anymore. Im just gonna repair one next week doing the same as jimmy. As for how common they are, I've owned 2 6's and both cracked. Daveyboy repaired my current 6s chassis and I must say, it was a cracking job done by him and I'd recommend him to anyone. ________________________________________ See the sheer power and might of the lesser known burrowing owl. |

Yeah most garages do welding, its another thing if they are any good when this part has to be well done due to engine movement force etc.________________________________________ Pug fee`ver,Pick a Bogey, buy a Pug. No problems mate, we have done several of these repairs before We are under going a full restoration and 20v turbo conversion on a caddy aswell, now that's got a lot of rot we need to tackle to get it to show standards. ________________________________________ Dimma + Gt35 turbo =Solid rear beam mounts £130 07889376885 Dan |
